Fox News Channel Announces New Weekend Programming With Major Host Changes

Kayleigh McEnany to Anchor New Show; Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich to Helm ‘The Sunday Briefing’

FOX News Channel (FNC) is shaking up its weekend lineup with new programs and anchor assignments, set to debut starting Saturday, September 20. The changes, announced by FOX News Media President & Executive Editor Jay Wallace, aim to “expand and innovate” the network’s weekend schedule.

Leading the new slate is Kayleigh McEnany, who will host Saturday in America from 10 AM to 12 PM/ET. McEnany, a co-host on the weekday program Outnumbered, will remain in her current role. The show will feature discussions with political newsmakers and will provide a comprehensive look at the week’s top stories.

Senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich will co-anchor The Sunday Briefing, debuting on September 21 at 11 AM/ET. The two will alternate as solo hosts, tackling major stories from the White House beat.

In other notable changes, Griff Jenkins has been named a co-host of FOX & Friends Weekend, joining Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt. Additionally, the ensemble program The Big Weekend Show is expanding to three hours, from 5-8 PM/ET, with Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren named as two of the four co-hosts.

As part of the network’s reshuffle, Howie Kurtz will be stepping down as host of MediaBuzz after 12 years. His final show will air on Sunday, September 14. Kurtz will transition to a new role as a political media analyst for the network, continuing his commentary on media across various platforms.

In a statement, Kurtz expressed pride in the show’s success, saying, “I’m extraordinarily proud of the program, which was number one for over 12 years and built a loyal audience that liked our down-the-middle approach…but time marches on.”

FOX News Media President Jay Wallace noted that the new roster “underscores our continued commitment to delivering incomparable coverage, reinforcing FOX News Media as the leader in both news and opinion content.” He also praised Kurtz for his long-standing role as a leading authority on media coverage.
