The FTC just took a huge step toward establishing farmers’ right to repair.

John Deere settled an antitrust case with the FTC requiring them to give farmers and independent repair shops “the same resources as authorized dealers for the next 10 years.”

Now, farmers are urging Congress to codify their right to repair into law.

President of the Montana Farmers Union Walter Schweitzer has spent “over a decade” working on this issue.

And he wants Congress to codify farmers’ right to repair “using the FTC template… nationwide on all equipment, not just John Deere.”
