Whistleblower Says California Rep. Adam Schiff Approved Leaks Of Classified Info To Damage Trump

Newly released FBI documents, obtained by Just The News, detail claims from a long-time Democratic staffer that Schiff greenlit the release of sensitive intelligence to aid in the indictment of Donald Trump.

A long-time Democratic staffer on the House Intelligence Committee reportedly told the FBI that then-Representative Adam Schiff authorized the leaking of classified information in 2017 with the express purpose of discrediting then-President Donald Trump, according to newly released documents.

The documents, which were obtained by the news organization Just The News, were reportedly provided to Congress by FBI Director Kash Patel. The whistleblower, who had worked for Democrats on the committee for over a decade, first made the allegations to the FBI in 2017. He was interviewed again in 2023.

According to the report, the intelligence staffer characterized Schiff’s alleged actions as “treasonous” and “illegal.” The staffer claims he was present at a meeting where Schiff gave the order to leak the classified material.

“In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP,” the documents reportedly state. The report further quotes the whistleblower, who claims Schiff said the information would be used to “indict President TRUMP.”

When the whistleblower raised concerns about the legality of the action, the report states that “unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information.”

The revelations come as former Representative Schiff, now a Senator, faces other legal scrutiny. News outlets have recently reported on allegations of mortgage fraud against Schiff, with a whistleblower claiming he misrepresented his primary residence on multiple mortgage applications.

Patel shared the report on X, formerly Twitter, stating that the FBI “found it [and] declassified it.” His post further said, “Now Congress can see how classified info was leaked to shape political narratives – and decide if our institutions were weaponized against the American people.”
