Virginia has a new law that makes talking about Islam a crime!!   You can viciously criticize Christians - and even discriminate against them, but NOT Islam!   In America and in North Carolina — rights come from the Constitution, not from religious doctrine.   If speech can be labeled criminal because it is deemed offensive to Muslims, then the First Amendment is no longer functioning as written.   And that doesn’t just affect activists or commentators.   It affects pastors. It affects teachers. It affects parents.   It affects anyone who speaks publicly about religion, public policy, or global movements.   This is bigger than one state bill.
