‘Reverse Migration’: Trump Blasts Minnesota Leaders Walz And Omar, Immigration Policy
President Donald Trump marked Thanksgiving on Thursday with a blistering statement on Truth Social, using the holiday to deliver a scathing critique of U.S. immigration policies while launching personal attacks against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Representative Ilhan Omar.
While the post began with a “Happy Thanksgiving” to “Great American Citizens and Patriots,” the President immediately pivoted to what he described as the destruction of the country through “Politically Correct” and “STUPID” border enforcement. Trump characterized the current state of the nation as one being “murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at” due to foreign policy failures.
The message focused heavily on the state of Minnesota, which Trump used as a primary example of social dysfunction caused by refugee resettlement.
He claimed that “hundreds of thousands of refugees from Somalia are completely taking over” the state, alleging that gangs are hunting for “prey” while residents remain locked in their homes.
Trump directed specific vitriol toward the state’s leadership. He referred to Governor Tim Walz as “seriously retarded,” accusing him of inaction due to “fear, incompetence, or both.”

Turning his attention to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, Trump disparaged her appearance and repeated allegations regarding her marriage and immigration status, stating she “does nothing but hatefully complain about our Country.”
Beyond the personal attacks, the President laid out a sweeping policy agenda focused on “Reverse Migration.” Citing Census figures, he claimed the foreign population in the U.S. stands at 53 million and argued that the majority are dependent on welfare or come from criminal backgrounds.
He presented a specific economic claim that a migrant earning $30,000 receives roughly $50,000 in yearly benefits, asserting this burden is the root cause of issues ranging from school failures to housing shortages.
To address these grievances, Trump vowed to implement a permanent pause on migration from “Third World Countries” to allow the American system to recover. His proposed plan includes terminating admissions authorized by the Biden administration—specifically referencing those signed by “Autopen”—and stripping federal benefits from non-citizens.
The statement concluded with a pledge to deport any foreign national deemed a “public charge” or “non-compatible with Western Civilization,” declaring that only a mass reversal of migration trends can cure the situation.
“HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL,” Trump wrote in his final sign-off, “except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for — You won’t be here for long!”
