"LA County D.A. Nathan Hochman recently asked a judge to temporarily freeze the county's $4 billion sexual abuse settlement, saying up to 81% of the 11,000 claims may be fraudulent.

When these lawsuits came in, saying that this had happened 20, 30, 40 years ago, there was no way, effectively, to defend against these lawsuits.

Hochman says many of the dates, names and locations of the alleged abuse don't match the county database and wants them thrown out."
