NFL Passer Rating Win Correlation, 2014-2023
The below table shows the wins and losses in individual games for the regular season and post season based on passer rating in specific ranges. The data goes back for the past 10 seasons (2014-2023), past 5 seasons (2019-2023) and the previous season (2023) for comparison.
Historically, teams with the better (higher) NFL passer rating compared to their opponent end up winning the game around 82% of the time. The purpose of this table is to show how likely they are to win the game as the passer rating increases from a very low score under 65 all the way up to 125 or greater.
