DNC Releases Harris’s Platform, Biden’s Agenda, Sparking Criticism Of Policy Originality

The DNC has unveiled what is ostensibly Kamala Harris’s party platform, but it appears heavily reflective of Joe Biden’s potential second term, with no less than nineteen references to “Biden’s second term.”
Despite the DNC nominating Harris over Biden a month ago, the document still heavily references the policies and direction of Biden’s administration, raising questions about its timeliness and Harris’s own policy initiatives.
The platform’s failure to diverge from Biden’s policies suggests a lack of distinct strategy from Harris herself, positioning her more as a continuation of the current administration rather than a new path forward.
The New York Times noted the stark contrast in detail and depth compared to previous Democratic campaigns, pointing out that Hillary Clinton offered over 200 policy proposals in 2016, and Biden’s campaign issued a comprehensive 110-page policy document in 2020.
In comparison, Harris does not currently have a dedicated policy page on her campaign website.
Critics argue that this suggests Harris is merely a figurehead for the same “radical and insane class of socialists and communists” they claim have driven national policy under Biden.
They accuse her of aiming to perpetuate Biden’s agenda, which they believe has led to economic downturns, global instability, and controversial immigration policies.
This portrayal sets Harris up as an agent of chaos rather than change, continuing policies her critics say have already proven detrimental to both national and global stability.
