All employees Real average hourly earnings for all employees increased 0.8 percent from November 2024 to November 2025, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This result stems from an increase of 3.5 percent in average hourly earnings combined with an increase of 2.7 percent in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U).
Real average weekly earnings increased 0.8 percent over the year due to the change in real average hourly earnings combined with no change in the average workweek.
Federal Government Shutdown
BLS did not publish October 2025 Real Earnings data. BLS could not collect the relevant Consumer
Price Index data for the October reference period due to a lapse in appropriations. BLS was unable
to retroactively collect these data.
