2024 Rookie of the Year Tracker - Week 13
Here are the players currently in the running for Rookie of the Year (most likely in this order based on betting odds and media favorites):
- Jayden Daniels - QB, WAS
- Bo Nix - QB, DEN
- Brock Bowers - TE, LV
Summary
Jayden Daniels started the season playing at an MVP level but that only lasted for about 4-5 games. He has been efficient since then (8-9 games) but closer to a top 15 QB.
Bo Nix's season is the opposite of Daniels so far. He started slowly with 3 road games and a tough home game against PIT, but has taken the lead in passing touchdowns and total touchdowns scored for rookie quarterbacks and boasts a USA Reference passer rating over 100 since game 5.
Both WAS and DEN have the inside track to the playoffs as 8-5 teams and 7-seeds in their respective conferences.
Caleb Williams (CHI) has also improved after the first month of the season, with his USA Reference passer rating increasing from 69.97 to 88.81. Most notably, his TD-TO ratio has improved from 3-5 (Games 1-4) to 11-1 (Games 5-12).
Drake Maye (NE) started later than the 3 QBs above, but has posted a similar USA Ref passer rating of 89.09 in the 9 games he has played in since taking over the starting QB role for New England.
Brock Bowers is on pace to record the most catches for a rookie tight end in a single season and leads all receivers in 2024 through Week 13 with 84 catches.
